How the Clozara receptionist works
The AI Receptionist is included in founding membership and switches on at launch. Here is exactly how it works, in plain terms.
Forwarding, you keep your number
You keep your own phone number. You forward your missed, busy, and unreachable calls to Clozara using your carrier's forwarding codes, which takes a few minutes. You can still answer first whenever you are free, and you can turn forwarding off any time. We never port or replace your number.
Disclosure and recording
Every call opens with the same line. The receptionist says it is an AI assistant answering for you and that the call may be recorded. That announcement cannot be turned off. State recording-consent rules vary, so review the rules for your state before you rely on it.
What it captures
The receptionist asks for the caller's name, whether they are buying or selling, the area and price range they care about, their timeline, and a confirmed callback number that it reads back to the caller. Property questions are answered only from listing details you provide. Anything it does not know, it does not guess, it notes the question for you to confirm.
Minutes
Agent OS includes 150 minutes a month. At 80 percent of your minutes you get an email. When your minutes run out, calls roll to a smart voicemail that takes a full message and emails you a summary. Nothing ever bills automatically. If you want live answering back before the month resets, you can add a 50 minute pack for $10.
Booking showings
If you connect Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or Outlook, or Apple iCloud, the receptionist can offer two open times inside the limits you set and book the showing on your calendar, then email you and the caller. If you do not connect a calendar, it takes a showing request with two preferred times and emails you a one-tap confirm. It never books a time you did not approve.
Fair housing and limits
The receptionist never steers on a protected class, never invents listing facts, and hands off to you when a caller asks for a person. It does not make outbound calls and does not send texts.
